Bio

Julie Monro-Allison is a visual artist and researcher living on Ngunnawal country (ACT). In 2021 she was awarded a PhD in Fine Arts from the Australian National University for her thesis Intracorporeal Entanglement, and other provocations of the gestating body. She has exhibited her work in artist-run and regional galleries in south-eastern Australia, and in 2019 was a finalist in the Hidden Rookwood Sculpture Prize and the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize. She has undertaken artist residencies across the country and has been commissioned for temporary public art projects in Hobart and the ACT.
