Bio

Natsuko is a Japanese-Australian multidisciplinary and multimedia artist who often works with dance, physical theatre, film, sound, and visual arts. Her interests lie in directing immersive, unique, and interdisciplinary live productions which are often influenced by social issues.

Natsuko’s career in directing live performance and producing her own work has been recognised by Canberra critics and other prominent Canberra-based artists. In October 2020, Natsuko directed her first full-length physical theatre, dance, and live original music production, ‘Mess’, at Belconnen Arts Centre which was critically acclaimed and received a Canberra Critics Circle Award for its lighting design.
