You Are Here is piloting a series of gigs and workshops at our new HQ, 131 City Walk, Canberra. Whether you want to make art or just enjoy it, you are welcome to join the fun!

Show n Tell

We are throwing our doors open on Sunday 2nd August from 5pm-8pm for a Show n Tell: our invite for anyone and everyone to check out our new HQ. A bit like an opening night, a bit like an open studio, a bit like having some friends over for dinner. We hope you can come hang with us and meet all the gorgeous people we’re working with.

Gigs

Cozy up with sounds that will warm your cockles! Our winter gig series is alcohol-free and all-ages (and they start early so you can be tucked up in bed by a reasonable hour or head out in the city after)

Workshops

Learn cool creative stuff with experienced facilitators in a warm and friendly environment. Open to all, no matter your experience level!!

FAQS

Where is You Are Here HQ located?

You Are Here HQ is located at Level 1, 131 City Walk, Canberra. We are above King O’Malley’s pub, right near the city bus interchange.

Do I have to be an “artist” to join in?

Definitely not! Our workshops and gigs are open to all! No prior experience necessary.

Do I have to be 18+ to do a workshop or come to a gig?

Nope! All the YAH gigs and workshops listed on this page are alcohol free spaces. People under 16 should come with a grown up.

(Please note that alcohol is served at Blank gigs on Level 2 and these events are 18+)

How much do the gigs and workshops cost?

Each gig and workshop has different prices – check the Humanitix link for info. If you want to be involved but cost is a barrier, choose a cheaper or free ticket where available. Contact us if you want more info!

Is the venue accessible?

There is a lift to Level 1, and one accessible bathroom.

The lift is small, and most wheelchair users will not be able to turn around in the lift.

There are lots of different types of flooring, lighting, and noise profiles throughout the building.

We have a small budget to provide access resources where requested.
