We’re making space to create art, do admin, rehearse, perform, show & sell work, and gather our community

What we’re trying

Between now and the end of July 2026, we are running Pilot Pivot Pilot Pivot – a program designed to test ways to activate 131 City Walk.

We’re trialing:

  • Open plan studios
  • Public workshops
  • No-alcohol, cozy gig space
  • Gallery residencies
  • Street facing art “Kiosk”

What is Blank Cultural Platform?

Blank Cultural Platform is a new initiative to activate a CBD builidng with arts activity. We are working closely with The Blank Corporation to make it happen.

Do I have to be an “artist” or “producer” to be a part of Blank Cultural Platform?

Not necessarily. We want to share space with people who are creative, who are starting new (ad)ventures, and who want to be part of our community. If it’s calling to you, reach out for a chat!

Are there other spaces in the building?

Yes! There is a large dance studio, more offices, and a rooftop courtyard.

YAH is managing the spaces on Level 1 (studios, gallery, indoor gig space)

Blank is managing the spaces on Level 2 (rooftop courtyard, offices)

Latin Dance Canberra manages the dance studio.

Is there a cost?

We are a piloting a range of different financial models throughout the spaces.

Our aim is to generate revenue where we can to subsidise other spaces and activities that should be cheap or free.
